This 13 strong team of boob-clad joggers hit up Plymouth half, triumphantly shouting about boobs and raised over £1700 (and still counting).

This year, we’re asking you to take the 100 mile challenge over 2 days in May, cycling some of Cornwall’s most stunning roads. Taking in the southern parts of the National Cycle Network, this ride encounters hills, breathtaking coast lines, beaches and the occasional cow.

A big group of Boob Team Leaders celebrated the end of a boobilicious year in London recently - on a spooky ghost bus tour - and it was great to hear about all the boob antics from across the country. UWE adventures included events on all campuses, cake sales, and CoppaFeel! the game.

It's been a great year, and we'll be back in September with a new leader and new team, refreshed to spread the Boob Love on the UWE campuses. If you think you've got what it takes to be next year's leader you can apply at www.uniboobteam.com.

The competition began with all teams leaving Channies and heading straight to Guildford train station… except us. Our one and only plan was to turn left and make our way towards the nearest petrol station with the intention of hitching a ride from there. But why not test drive a brand new Porsche on the way?
When the lovely people in the Porsche garage saw Handsome and the two giant Hooters walking past they were intrigued to say the least, so we popped in to say hi. Never in a million years did we think we’d end up being taken on a test drive in the £150,000 car to Milford.
10.30am ‘Happy Hooters’
From Milford, we hitched a ride with a hottie, called Adam! Although we travelled back on ourselves past uni, the Hooters definitely didn’t mind sitting in the car drooling (much to Handsome’s amusement). Onward to Hounslow East.

The official charity for the race is Breast Cancer Care but, whilst we respect the charity enormously, we decided to choose a breast cancer charity that supports young women like us. We were absolutely staggered to realise that women in their twenties battle breast cancer every single day. And not just in a few rare cases, last year thousands of young women were diagnosed with breast cancer.

As far as we can see there is only one charity that is working to raise awareness about the realities of breast cancer solely amongst women (and men) of our age. Coppafeel was set up by Kris and her twin sister when Kris was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She was 23. After 26 days on her record-breaking solo row across the North Pacific Ocean from Japan to Canada, she was hit by a tropical storm and was unable to continue.

But because Sarah doesn’t let a storm ruin her adventure party, she’s bought another boat and is about to set off from Japan to have another go!

We love Sarah’s spirit and utter determination - and the fact that she’s supporting us along the way too!

It’s been busy, busy month for the Aber Uni Boob Team! February started off with a Boob Team Invasion of Black House, a massive local gig , think rave/ house party in a massive building! Well for one night only, some of the CoppaFeel! Boob Team went out to spread the message to fellow students and locals as well. It was a fantastic night, the boobs had a good outing, we spoke and stickered loads of people and even managed to raise just shy of £35 for our CoppaFeel! total! :)

Following this we’ve had a cake sale, been to a volunteering fayre in the Union, had a speed dating night and have jumped on board the Uni’s Harlem Shake! See the attached video and picture! It is doubtful whether these men were taught about the early signs of cancer or how to protect themselves from it, whilst at school. And the problem is, our young people are still unaware today.

1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Half of cancers diagnosed could be prevented by change in lifestyle so the campaign aims to ensure all children and young people are taught how to manage their health whilst at school to learn healthy habits for life.

We’re calling on MPs to back the statutory provision of cancer education, as well as encouraging the Department of Education to write this into the curriculum.

Team had a cake sale and information stall in The Lounge, our main social area. We sold a few yummy cupcakes made by the lovely Chelsea and my ricekrispie/ cornflake cakes.
Thursday I joined a few Bucks Ragateers at our Uxbridge campus and attempted to spread the boob word further. I may have only reached 4 or 5 people! The Uxbridge campus is only for the nursing students, and was in fact so small I would say we came into contact with a maximum of 20 students. However, the point is we tried! I am hoping to get the team out to local 6th forms and colleges next month to inform the students there about how Coppin’ a Feel! Could save a life.
Tuesday 12th of March I our next uni event and should be a good day, at the careers and volunteers fair.

]]>Tue, 29 Jan 2013 19:16:30 GMT<![CDATA[ Winter Hibernation ]]>February will see us at the High Wycombe campus RAG fair, it’s going to be a big day with the BNU Raise And Give team. Things to expect will include an adult bouncy castle and bucking bronco!

In the same week we will be at the Uxbridge campus for their open day. This is where the nurses are taught so we are expecting a good reception and many sign ups to the texting service.

Further more we will hopefully be piggy backing a student night at our local pub/club Yates.

Also in preparation is a ladies pamper evening, where students can come and enjoy an evening of massage, card readings and cake!

I am going to be running the Bath Half Marathon on the 3rd March 2013 to raise money for Coppafeel; a charity that work hard to raise awareness of breast cancer, by encouraging women to get to know their norks by checking them regularly. By encouraging young women to get into a habit of regularly checking their Bristols, they are hoping to be able to diagnose sufferers early on in their illness and therefore save many lives that otherwise could be lost to breast cancer.

I, like many other young women, can name more than a handful of women who have suffered from, or are currently in treatment or remission from breast cancer. Well I recently spend the day dressed up as a boob with the CoppaFeel! team shaking a tin... and we raised £336 in one day! What a result!
It made the numb fingers and toes 100% worth it :)
In other news, the KCL CoppaFeel! girls (and boy!) recently went to proud, stickering and photographing the party-goers! The temporary tattoos even made an appearance, it was lots of fun :)
We have been meeting up and plan to launch a CoppaFeel! poster campaign, to get all the KCL Students bumping into boob reminders everywhere they go around campus literally tackling the issue head-on! haha
AND we are just buying our ingredients for our (slightly belated) CoppaFeel! Cake o clock bake sale! Its on the 6th December 12-4 at King's! We are very excited to bake and flog our boob-themed creations :)

The Bucks CoppaFeel! team have recently joined forces with Bucks RAG society so although we aren’t our own society we are a team and have the opportunity to work alongside several other wonderful charities.

The past month has included- successful selling of glowsticks in the sweaty Potterrow (total raised to follow on the Facebook page), outreach at the ECA, and a second cake sale outside the library as part of CoppaFeel!'s nationwide cake o'clock. We raised an excellent £113.43 from this last cake sale, taking our grand total from both cake sales to £235.04. Great amount of money from cake, and wonderful that we could talk boobs with people whilst eating cake!

On Monday 19th we were at Oceana for Balls versus Boobs. A great night! The Boob team had a great time talking to drunken people about boobs. And... it turns out drunk people love boobs! Who knew?!

Then bright and shiny the next morning we were up and selling cakes to all you lovely lot for Cake O' Clock! And you bought cakes! And helped us raise £75 and 36 pence! October was a crazy month for the boob team, we had deadlines coming at us left, right and centre but it's cool because we still managed to get out onto campus and spread boobie love. We urged you all to get filling out our questionnaire and after some slight nagging we managed to get our responses to around 37! Woohoo! (the questionnaire is still on the student portal if you fancy helping out... pretty please)

The fabulous boob team took to the Library and we are well aware that we brightened some pretty dull essay filled days! The look of shock in student's eyes as they see two boobs heading their way ... Priceless!

What we did find though is that lots of you lovely ladies (and gentlemen) are still not boobie aware so on a serious note COPPAFEEL!

Cakes in the City, and our lovely mothers made us over 100 boobie cakes to sell. I must admit, after seeing Sarah's cakes from Cakes in the City, (the boobie ones in the picture!) I was worried that my mothers ones would not even sell at all! Haha! However, that said, they all sold, raising £141! :)

I must say, it was almost impossible to sit there for the day, and not buy one! So, I did give in eventually, and I could understand exactly why we were getting great compliments - Laura's icing was AMAZING! I wish I could have tired them all... but, there's always next time! :)

We also began our game 'Guess the Name of the Boobs!', which people seemed to enjoy playing, and laughing at the 80 duo names that myself and Lisa had come up with. When my friend Kris was 23 years old she was miss diagnosed with breast cancer twice just because of how young she was because breast cancer is an older woman’s disease, right? Wrong.

Eight months on, Kris discovered not only that she had breast cancer, but that it had spread to her spine. Kris was – is – at stage four, the most advanced type of cancer. There is no stage five.

She is so inspirational because whilst fighting breast cancer she also wants to bring awareness to young women and men (cause boys you can get breast cancer tooo!!!) So CoppaFeel was born! http://www.coppafeel.org/

I am absolutely thrilled to be the St Andrews University Boob Team Leader for 2012-2013.
You may have seen the BoobTeam out around campus with our boob stickers and doorhangers, or generally just being giant boobs (literally). We've also been working hard to spread boob love to our sports teams, and have appointed a 'Sporty Boob' to liase with the Athletic Union.

We have a very enthusiastic boob team (but are always looking for more!), and we can't wait to bring you events like 'Boobs Night Out' at the Union sometime in the near future! Pop back to this page for the photos after the event.

Roots Bar have very kindly offered to host our first social, a Pink Party... so just as you'd expect - there will be a lot of pink! We will be collecting donations on the door, and in return you get pink glowsticks, pink lollipops, the opportunity to have your picture taken in our Shower Photo Booth (our campaign this year is 'CoppaFeel! Following our first few weeks at the university I'd like to give you the first official update of many.

After the amazing response from people at the freshers fayre, this years brand spanking new boobie team and I have been going over a whole load of ideas to get everyone really enthusiastic about all things boobie, tits, chebs, and melons related by the 26th October. We (the boob team and myself) decided to take over the entrance to Fulton House in order to start the awareness campaign we want to hit the Uni and the students with (not too hard though- we don't want bruises!). We stood and harassed... I mean talked to people and asked them if they had been Copping a feel. We had some superstars who did. Boobs up to them! But many don't so hopefully after being given some stickers and hangers for their doors they will now remember!

Exciting news also! We are now officially a society of Swansea Student's Union! This is very good news indeed! So watch out for us!

And one more thing (last one I promise!) we will be at the Quadrant for a student takeover on Tues 16th October. So come along and play our shower game, or even just have your picture taken with a pair of giant boobs!

It all began when my box of boobie goodies arrived. My housemates had to stop me from blowing up the giant boob costumes straight away because we didn’t want them getting saggy before the fun began, but it wasn’t too long ‘til we got to start wearing them!

Langwith Fresher’s Fair, Alcuin Sports Day and even a world record spooning attempt…we were there! Everywhere I looked people had CoppaFeel! stickers and were coming over to have pictures with our giant hooters! We even managed to get some of the college mascots stickered and had the chance to make the Alcuin Provost, Tony Ward, feel a little awkward as he looked at the purplish nipple on our costume, boobtastic!

22,000 students, (more than the amount of students that went to Beach Break Live!) rocked up at St Davids shopping centre at 8pm, all ready with their debit cards to take advantage of all of the discounts, and get their hands on all the freebies they could!

With the music blasting and the students pouring in, Cardiff Boob Team were ready and eager to spread the Boob Love amongst all of the chaos - and boy, did we do a good job!

Students loved the whole campaign, and were really engaging with us. It was fantastic to hear that a few ladies had already been copping a feel without even hearing of CoppaFeel!, and that some Cardiff Met and Newport students had already heard of CoppaFeel! through their own University Boob Team - so great work Laura and Chantelle!

58 days ago they set out - our friend Dave Cornthwaite swimming all the way whilst his team supported him on SUPs and in canoes.

They've encountered all manner of dangers and rarities along the way and quite frankly, we’re so happy to see that they’ve all made it and still with smiles on their faces!

Thank you so very much to Dave and his wonderful Swim1000 team. Together they have raised over £5000 and counting. If you feel the urge to donate to their incredibly effort, please head over here.

Hello! I'm Laura, and I am the City University London's Team Leader!
City have successfully embraced boobs into university life, and everyone has certainly enjoyed coppin' a feel!
The term started off with a visit to the Fresher's fayre where I was able to speak to new students about CoppaFeel!, it's message and about some exciting events coming up over the year. The sports teams were more than happy to participate in some checking, we papped them doing some awesome coppin'!
We then moved onto spreading some love to the Propaganda night at the o2 Islington Academy, where the outfits definitely attracted some attention and everyone wanted a photo with at least one We managed to get some sign ups to the monthly text message and email services. The night was amazing, my team worked so hard and I was very proud!

When’s the best time to check your boobs? Well, in short, any time is good for Boob Time. To keep it simple, we’re reminding students to do it in the shower. No more excuses, you’re already starkers and your boobs need some attention!

We’ve once again joined forces with Male Cancer Awareness (MCAC) and taking the message to ‘Coppafeel in the shower’ into student shower cubicles up and down the country. The aim? To get self-checking part of every student’s daily routine.

So, what have we been up to in the last week and a bit? Well....before Freshers Week even began, a couple of us helped to move the freshers in, as 'Freshers Angels' and our mission was to subtly sneak a few stickers into the the newbies' halls, to start people pondering about this CoppaFeel! thing...Mission accomplished.

The following Wednesday, we had our very first meeting, where we discussed this year's campaign and bounced some ideas around the table (Lots and lots of exciting ideas!). We then headed to the Welfare Walk-In event in Chancellors, to represent CoppaFeel! in the welfare world of Surrey. Whilst it seemed like a barrel of laughs; eating our marshmallows and having your photos taken with the hooters; it was great to be able to get out on campus and start spreading the CoppaFeel! message to get everyone to check their boobies. CoppaFeel! the game is taking off and by the end of the year sticking your hand into a plate full of jelly will seem the norm – trust us on this one!

You get a sudden urge to DANCE!  Well look no further; join us this October for a mammoth Boobie Flashmob! We have our boob costumes at the ready, now all we need is the dancers to make this a flash mob to remember.

Taking place on Thursday 18th October in St Christopher’s Place (just off Oxford Street) we need dancers to partake in a 4 minute routine which is to be choreographed by Zoe Jackson, from the Living the Dream dance company.

You all seemed pretty shocked to see us all dressed as giant boobs, but such a great amount of interest was shown so we are very perked up boobs at the moment!

Last week, we had our first team meeting, to let all the team know what CoppaFeel! is about and to get to know each other. We've got a great team on board, who are all really passionate about the cause and not afraid to look like a boob (pun intended!). Cardiff Boob Team have been having a ball this week! We have been out and about around campus, mainly in the Students Union, chatting to all of the students, freshers and oldies like me, that have passed through the doors.

The week started off with a meeting briefing the newly formed Boob Team about our plans for the upcoming academic year - everyone was really enthusiastic, and was loving the meeting just as much as they were loving the cake I provided! Everyone had fantastic ideas, which I can't wait to put into action!

Cardiff Students have been loving the 'CoppaFeel! in the shower' campaign with some really positive comments from passers by. At the end of August I ventured down to London to meet all at CoppaFeel! and the other boob team leaders from all the other Universities. Such a fun day was had, learning about our 12 boob missions for the year and playing some boob ball. Amazing day!

Yesterday, first day of Freshers and the boob team and I were dressed in full CoppaFeel! regalia (aka the giant boob). We were so well received by the vast majority of students, signing many up to the boob team and even more up to CoppaFeel! HQ's newsletter.

It's shaping up to be a fa-boob-ulous year!

Blog ]]>I went online to take a look at the website and nosing around I found the Uni Boob Teams page, as Bucks didn't have a team already I thought to myself “why not?!". I found the idea of CoppaFeel! and educating young women about how to look after their own bodies, refreshing.
I think a lot of healthcare professionals are jaded and tend to treat patients as numbers. Just because you aren't at the age where breast cancer is common, doesn't mean you cannot get it. The same goes for cervical cancer, the age for cervical screening starts at 25. Just over a week ago now I met up with all the lovely leaders for the Uni Boob Teams across the country and what a wicked day it was. All eager and ready to talk boobs I found out the missions that our Cardiff Met team will complete this year and boy am I excited! A snippet of things to come ... CoppaFeel Day, Boob Ball, CoppaFeel in the shower game ... it's all going to be revealed with a great big boobie bang at CMU Freshers Fayre 2012!

But my highlight of the day has to be finding out what's in CMUs box of goodies .. Boob Costumes, Stickers, T-shirts and so much more ... I'm eagerly awaiting a knock at the door to be united with our Boob Box.!

Last thursday saw the day all us Uni Boob Team Leaders came together from all over the country to meet, greet and be trained in all things BOOB in order to kick start this awesome campaign! The morning involved an inspiring talk from the founder of CoppaFeel! Kris, who told us her personal story & the reasons behind the true dedication to spreading such an important message to all young people! We were then taken to the roof top for photographs in our ultra cool UNI BOOB TEAM t-shirts & hoodies (thanks to very.co.uk) and then as a surprise, the amazing charity patron FEARNE COTTON popped along to join in the photos and show her support for the campaign! We rounded up the day with a brill game of boob-ball (dodgeball with a twist) which was soo much fun and great practice for when we bring the game to our uni campuses!

I am now 100% ready for the coming year, and the boob-team that I hope to create will be infiltrating the King's campus with our boobie message!

The training day was brilliant, a lot of fun, met a lot of fab girls from unis all over the country ready to spread boob love around their campus' as well. Fearne Cotton turned up for some photos and to say a little hello to us all as the class of 2012, which was a treat! She was gorgeous and exactly how you expect her to be, accompanied with a little baby bump which made her look all the more lovely. We also played a game of boob ball (dodge ball with a hilarious difference, key's in the name...) which proved a lot of fun, even for somebody as un-sporty as myself!

Most importantly we were given information and ideas for the next few months, to help us infiltrate uni with the CoppaFeel! message! I am the Uni Boob Team Leader for the Uni of York and I’m dead excited to get all the boob shenanigans underway this year!

Last week I took a trip to London for a day of boob related fun including meeting all the other lovely Uni Boob Team Leaders, a game of Boob Ball (dodgeball with a difference), but best of all we all got to meet the one and only Fearne Cotton! As Patron of CoppaFeel!, Fearne came to give us some motivational words and to have a mini photo shoot with us on the (very windy) roof!

To finish off a day of brainstorming, eating some yummy pie and hearing the inspirational story from the lady herself, Kris, who has achieved so much in starting CoppaFeel!, we were off for a game of Boob Ball! Having been briefed on the rules by Andy from Dodgeball UK, we all got a few boob balls to the face as we battled it out to be named Boob Ball champions. My name is Robyn and I'm the Uni Boob Leader for Hull Uni!
On thursday I attended the trainging day where me and the rest of the uni leaders got the lowdown on what boob shenanigans we will be getting on with this year. (though I dont want to give too much away at this point, it's going to be the breast, ha ha...)

It was an amazing day, that involved me being a tourist in London (I'm never going to stand on the left side of anything again!) meeting Fern Cotton, getting awsome freebees and a boob to the face in boob ball. The best part of the day however was deffinately hearing Kris's story from the lady herself, beyond inspiring!!

Anyway, expect to see me around campus dressed as a giant nork soon getting you all to CoppaFeel! this freshers coming freshers week!

To start off, my name is Rachel Price, and I am Cardiff Uni's Boob Team Leader for the upcoming academic year! I am very excited about this, even more so after our training day which took place last Thursday, on August 30th.

There are a total of 34 Boob Team Leaders this year, covering all parts of the country, which is fantastic! Not only did I get to meet all of these lovely ladies, I also had the opportunity to meet the amazing CoppaFeel! Team and one of their lovely patrons, Fearne Cotton! Fearne stopped in for a quick chat and to have some pictures taken with us all, which was pretty cool! The team from Very, who are supporters of the Uni Boob Teams, also popped in to give us a presentation.

We were briefed during the day about our fantastic missions (that I cannot wait to tell you all about!) that enable us to spread Boob Love across each of our uni campuses. It was great to see all the other girls and talk about our ideas for spreading the Boob Love this year, you'll have to wait and see what we've got in store for UWE but I can tell you its going to be good! Not only did I get to meet the other Boob Girls, and the CoppaFeel! team but Fearne Cotton was there - yes actual Fearne Cotton! As patron of the charity she came along for a quick chat and to have some pictures taken with us.

This year Uni Boob Teams (UWE included) will be running Boob Ball tournaments, so that afternoon it was off to the local community centre with Andy from Dodgeball UK to learn the rules and play a little tournament of our own. I suppose as this is the first post I should do a bit of an introduction. I'm Melissa Bryan and i'm the Uni Boob Team Leader at UcLan and I AM SO EXCITED!

I have just been to London this Thursday for the official Uni Boob Team Leaders training day. Not only did I get to meet some other like minded, amazing girls but we also got to hang out with FEARNE COTTON. (check out the pics!) We were given our Boob Bibles for the next 6 months and believe me UcLan you are all in for a treat! We couldn’t have asked for happier, friendlier bunch of party people that came and spent the day, listening to tunes, chatting boobs and raising lots of money for CoppaFeel! We’re still counting the pennies but estimates show we reached £10,000, with every single penny going to the charity so we can continue spreading the boob word. In fact, this will allow us to have a brilliant boob chat summer at many festivals across the UK, starting with Beach Break Live this week!

What do we love more than dancing at Boob HQ?! Well, not a lot actually. So we were more than a little excited when we found out about a lovely troop of students from Bucks University’s Snow Sports Team who were planning a 24 hour Dance-a-thon in aid of CoppaFeel!

And they’ve done it! 24 hours of non-stop conga, waltz and macarena which raised almost £1000!

They presented their half an hour presentation to a group of young adults on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and the charity CoppaFeel, and they even wore the beautiful blow-up boobs too!

Lucky pants at the ready, they were set to tackle their way through 8 gruelling questions in order to come away with at least £25,000. Having made a great start, they went brave and bold on a question they weren't entirely certain about (I mean, who knew Cilla Black quit Blind Date in 2003!?) and lost £100,000. Just like that. But the lovely people at channel 4 have donated £5,000 to CoppaFeel! which will also make a huge difference.

Special ]]>The line up included some seriously hot artists including chart toppers Ed Sheeran and Wretch 32 as well as Mz Bratt, Hatty Keane, Kyra, Celement Marfo and the Frontline, Insight, A.L, Mike Hough, Ghetts, Lioness and Bluey Robinson. These lot smashed it and the place was packed to the brim with music and boob lovers, which was a truly beautiful sight to behold.

The event was in aid of two causes - CoppaFeel! and fellow cancer warrior, Emily Grimwood, who is currently undergoing treatment for secondary breast cancer. Emily, who is only 30 has been living with cancer for 5 years. She has undergone 3 operations and has to visit a special clinic in Germany and Vienna to receive further treatment. Her sister, Claira Hermet hosted the night and did her sister proud.

When Dave decided to find a girlfriend by attempting to date 100 women in 100 days, the result was an emotional rollercoaster that threatened to turn his world inside out and upside-down.

The team wanted to see what diet plan Kris had taken since her diagnosis and what impact this was having on her health, as well as hearing Maren's diet choices since her sister's diagnosis.

This is a topic that we could talk about for days and there are a lot of people who have varying opinions.

Thank you to a wonderful group of friends - Paul Vollman, Richard Stone, Serena Oppenheim, Edmond Sassine, Seby Gurrieri and Nicholas Levi-Gardes who rounded up all their friends, dressed in outrages halloween attire and celebrated Halloween in true style, whilst raising awareness and a lot of dosh.

The discussion was "Can you trust your doctor?". Kris explains her unfortunate experience with health professionals when she was misdiagnosed twice two years ago and continues living with and being treated for breast cancer. She started with a paddle across the British channel, continued with a gruelling cycle across Europe and Asia and completed her kayak paddle across to Japan last night. She is a genuine trooper and has continually flown the CoppaFeel! flag with great pride!

Students from 15 universities across the UK have been chosen to become ambassadors of our latest campaign Hello Boobs, which uses a pastiche of the celebrated a1994 Wonderbra ad ‘Hello Boys’.

Amongst a plethora of Boob-related activity, Boob Teams will be encouraging fellow students to get to know their boobs better by naming them. Once named, the students can text their boobs’ names to CoppaFeel! and, in return, start receiving a FREE monthly SMS reminder to check their boobs.
