We partially have (no tandem this year!) but it was such a fantastic event run by some great people that we couldn’t resist those 80% ascent hills for the second year on the bounce. Good question. After experiencing female cancers in my family, I can count on more than 2 hands the number of women I know, or who know people who have had/experienced cancer. Quite a scary thought. At times, the subject, like with male cancers, can be quite taboo to talk about. What I love about CoppaFeel is that it is in your face, and shouts out to young women to check your boobs! I have signed up for this cycling mission to support an amazing charity (CoppaFeel!) who I am proud to be a Boobette for. Every penny counts and will be put towards educating and informing the world about getting into the habit of checking your boobs from a young age, know what is normal for you and if you find something worrying get to the quacks and insist on a referral to a specialist. This is a small charity run by a small team with a massive task. If Id been more clued up, I wouldnt have been putting off checking myself (I figured Id start checking when I was a grown up as at 28 I was far too young and carefree to worry about things like crappy cancer).
